What is a “Direct” Colonoscopy?

Our direct access colonoscopy program streamlines the scheduling process for adult patients who meet the qualifications.  The program is designed for essentially healthy people who need a colonoscopy to screen for colon cancer or colon polyps.  Eligible patients will be contacted to schedule their colonoscopy directly, as opposed to first scheduling an office visit.
